Descended from a lineage of free Virginian Black ancestors whose stories, brilliance, and contributions were often overlooked or erased, Dr. Nay views her life as a divine assignment—to speak for those who could not, to educate where there has been silence, and to empower others to recognize the greatness already within them. An award-winning educator with nearly four decades of experience, Dr. Nay has dedicated her career to transforming lives through literacy, leadership, media, and the arts. As a professor, bestselling author, television host, speaker, and Founder and CEO of Renee's Way Inc., she has inspired thousands to embrace their purpose, develop their voice, and lead with courage.

She is the author of the bestselling women's empowerment book, Embrace Your Power: A Transformative Journey Toward Self-Discovery, along with youth empowerment books including Dear Sistah Girl: Step Into Your Greatness and Bro: Strive Toward Excellence.
